Behind the Scenes: How I Travel, Work, and Create Content, All at Once

Today’s plan?
A food tour. A walk on the famous city walls. Some Game of Thrones fan moments.
And yes, a little bit of business.

But here’s the thing:
I
’m not working around the clock.
I’m not glued to my laptop.
I’m just using systems that support the life I want to live, filled with joy, travel, food, connection, and purpose.

Systems Create Freedom, Not Restriction

People often think systems are rigid, boring, or “not for creatives.”
I’m here to tell you that systems are what make the magic possible.

And they don’t have to be complicated.

System #1: The Weekly Content Flow

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I go live every Thursday, no matter where I am in the world.
Sometimes it’s Vermont. Sometimes it’s Croatia.

That live video becomes:

  • A blog post (like this one!)

  • A weekly email

  • Social media content

One system, multiple uses.
It’s efficient, aligned, and sustainable.

System #2: Monthly Themes

Each month, I focus my content around one core idea.
This month’s theme? Systems.

  • Systems for wellness

  • Systems for business

  • Systems for travel

  • Systems for life

That theme guides everything, which keeps content flowing without the overwhelm.

System #3: Team Support

Here’s something I want you to hear clearly:

You do not have to do it all yourself.

I have a team who helps me:

  • Organize and post my content

  • Keep things on track and on schedule

  • Take my ideas and help me implement them

It's not about having a huge budget; it’s about building support that works for your business model.

You don’t have to start big. Just start.

System #4: Planned Joy

Yes, even joy is part of the system.

When I travel, I build in the things I love:

  • A mix of scheduled tours and spontaneous wandering

  • Food experiences I’m excited about (like today’s full-on food tour!)

  • Michelin Guide restaurant adventures

  • Beautiful walks, people-watching, and local flavor

I plan just enough to feel excited, and leave room for magic.

What Systems Can You Build to Support Your Life?

Whether it’s about:

  • Creating content

  • Traveling with ease

  • Running a business that doesn’t run you

  • Making time for what brings you joy…

Systems are what make it all possible.

Start small. Choose one area.
Put something on repeat.
Outsource a step.
Build support.

And most of all: design a life you don’t need a vacation from.
