Back to Basics: How I Prep for a Fall Reset
September 2, 2025

I promised last week we’d kick off our Back to Basics series for fall, and here we are!
There’s just something about this season, the crisp air, the school buses, the shifting light- that makes me want to clean things up and reset, even if summer didn’t go exactly as planned.
But you don’t just cannonball into a new season and hope for the best. You prepare. You shift gradually.
Here’s how I’m doing that this weekend, and how you can do it too.
1. Clear Out the Clutter
Let’s be honest: summer is beautiful, but it can also be messy.
We spend more time outside, routines slip a little, and before you know it, there are piles of “I’ll get to that later” all over the house.
This weekend, I’m finally getting to them. Because clutter isn’t just physical. It clogs your focus. And when your space is chaotic, it’s harder to create, think clearly, or feel grounded.
So I’m tackling those piles. You can too.
Ask yourself:
-

What’s physically cluttering your space?
 -

What’s mentally cluttering your schedule?
 -

What can you release to make room for something better?

2. Time Block for Creativity
Fall is when I do my best strategic thinking, especially around content planning.
I'll be heading outside for some intentional nature walks, each with a theme in mind. One of them? My 2026 content calendar.
Yes, that’s right. I start planning 2026 now.
Not so I can control every detail, but so I have a framework to support my work and ideas moving forward.
You don’t need to map out the next 18 months. But you do need to carve out intentional space to think, dream, and plan, before the hustle of the holidays hits.
3. Refresh the Closet
This is personal and professional.
I’m going through my wardrobe and doing three things:
-

Keeping what I feel good in
 -

Releasing what I never wear
 -

Maybe adding a few new pieces

Why? Because how you feel in your body affects how you show up everywhere else — with clients, on video, in relationships, even with yourself.
Looking good to you is a form of nourishment.
Ready to Reset with Me?
So here’s your fall prep checklist:
✅ Clear physical + mental clutter
✅ Time block for creative reflection
✅ Refresh your wardrobe and how you show up
These small shifts are the foundation of our upcoming Back to Basics reset, and they’ll help your body, brain, and business feel aligned for what’s next.
As always, what I hope for you is that you live a life you love without giving up the things that bring you joy. Until next week, ciao.
